Sudan-Kenya Relations

The diplomatic relations between the two countries was established since the independence of Kenya in 1963, and the Embassy of Sudan was opened since then.

Sudan and Kenya enjoy cordial bilateral relations in political, economic, and cultural fields, and the countries share common positions in various regional and international issues. Moreover, both of them are sharing the membership of different regional organizations including the Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD), the International Conference on the Great Lakes Region (ICGLR), the Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA), the NEPAD initiative, the African Union, and the Nile Basin Initiative, among others.
