For Sudanese Nationals holding an expired Sudanese passport or may have lost the Sudanese passport, you may apply for an Emergency Travel Document which will allow you to travel directly to Sudan only.
Fill out the Emergency Travel Document Application Form. Each applicant should fill out a separate form, even for children of all ages.
A letter of request written in Arabic addressed to the Consul
One (2) passport-sized photos
Photocopy of Kenyan ID Card
Photocopy of Kenyan Driver’s License
Police report (for lost passport)
Photocopy of Sudanese passport
For applicants under 18 years old, we need a copy of the parent’s Sudanese passports or Sudanese ID along with a letter from the father written in Arabic giving his permission for the child/children to obtain an emergency travel document, and copy of parents marriage certificate
If the father is not traveling with the child/children, a No Objection Letter should accompany the application with a copy of the father’s Sudanese passport or ID (Please see No Objection Letter section)
Fee is $50.00 payable to Embassy of Sudan (each applicant even children)
The normal processing time for Emergency Travel Document Application may take 5-7 business days. Please allow sufficient time to process applications.
Applicants submitting their applications through our walk-in hours (Mon-Friday Hours: 09:00 AM – 5:00 PM) may bring a self- addressed return envelope with the appropriate stamps for Express Mail, Priority Mail, FedEx, or UPS with tracking number, if documents/passports are to be mailed back
Applicants sending their applications by mail must furnish the Consular section of the Embassy with a return envelope with tracking no. using Express Mail, Priority Mail, FedEx, or UPS(postage/shipment paid by the applicant). Failure to send one may cause delay in the return of the passport(s)
All flight itineraries are not considered as a means to expedite any visa/emergency travel document, and the Embassy doesn’t bear any responsibility for any changes that may occur in these flight arrangements as a result of any delays.
The Embassy only accepts money orders, company checks, or cashier’s checks. No personal checks will be accepted.
For walk-in transactions, we accept cash (no credit or debit cards). All payments must be payable to the Embassy of Sudan.
